As of version 5.5.2 Openresort now includes POT files. These files will make it easier for individuals to translate the modules into different languages as there will no longer be need to generate your own files.
Openresort is pleased to bring you a new installation of their booking engine which uses Drupal 5.4. In addition the update availability pages have been enhanced to make it simpler and quicker to update availability for a unit. Please ensure for security reasons that you upate to new version as soon as possible or apply this patch http://drupal.org/files/sa-2007-031/SA-2007-031-5.3.patch.

Openresort has now been upgraded to Drupal 5.3 and Ecommerce 5.x.3-4. This ensures that your installation as secure as possible and all core bug fixes are available to openresort users.
Now if a customer contacts you by phone you can create a new prospect and capture their accommodation requirements. If a property isn't set to instant confirmation emails for this lead are sent to the owners of the accommodation. This allows you have a record of potential customers at your finger tips and removes the need to contact accommodators by phone.

After receiving many inquiries from people not finding all the functionality of OpenResort we decided that it was time to simplify the process.
We have implemented Workflows, which guide the user seamlessly through the process of adding a business to the OpenResort Engine, to adding bookable units and their associated rates and availability.

We have just released a new bit of functionality that allows users to browse what dates a property is available using 6 mini calendars. The next step is to allow users to select dates they wish to book from these mini calendars.
Let's face it, not all suppliers can be relied upon to keep a real-time inventory available for booking up to date. The development team has been hard at work finding a solution to allow for an automated manual confirmation process for suppliers who choose the manual confirmation status for their current inventory.
Soon to be released as a new feature in the DMO Edition of OpenResort, suppliers will have the option to set availability to use the manual confirmation process.
OpenResort has just officially launched its OpenSource Community Edition to the Drupal community on drupal.org. We are excited to be providing the first reservation/booking engine for the Drupal community and are looking forward to our first comments, feature requests and issues (hopefully not too many!)
